Tung Wah Group of Hospitals

生命「姿」選 Testimonial

Shirley is a woman of many talents and identities. She is a devoted mother, a skilled postnatal care helper, and a talented cooking instructor. However, her life was once plagued by addiction, and despite her best efforts, she found herself unable to conquer it alone.

Thankfully, Shirley turned to the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals for help, and with their support, she was able to overcome her alcoholism and embark on a new chapter in her life. Her story serves as a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the importance of seeking help when we need it most.

To powerfully convey Shirley’s story, we utilized various techniques, including a dramatic portrayal of her life before and after her recovery, as well as an animated segment that explains the definition and dangers of alcohol addiction.

Moreover, we wanted to emphasize the many facets of Shirley’s identity, rather than reducing her to a single label. To achieve this, we incorporated hashtags that highlight her various roles and identities, demonstrating that recovery allows us to reclaim the many parts of ourselves that addiction can obscure.

Overall, Shirley’s story is one of hope and resilience, a testament to the power of seeking help and the many identities we can embody when we overcome our struggles.
